How to judge if the electronic truck scale sensor is broken

How to judge whether the failure of electronic truck scale is a sensor problem? Is it really a sensor problem that needs to be replaced or repaired? How much does a sensor cost? These questions are usually raised by customers. If it is necessary to replace the truck scale sensor, we need to determine the damage degree of the sensor first. If it can be repaired, we can directly find a professional technician to repair it. There is no need to replace it. The sensor is mostly damaged due to water ingress. First check whether there is water immersion and moisture intrusion in the junction box; If any, dry it with a hair dryer, and then scrub and dry it with alcohol to clean the interior. Next, let's analyze whether the sensor is broken?
The following faults of electronic truck scale can be determined as sensor failure:
1. The weighing instrument does not display zero, and the display constantly flashes.
2. After the weighing instrument displays zero, add and place weights without displaying weighing figures.
3. When the weighbridge is unloaded or loaded, the displayed number is unstable, drifting or jumping.
4. The weighing is not accurate, and the displayed weighing number is inconsistent with the number of added weights.
5. The repeatability of the weighbridge is poor, and the same weight is added. Sometimes the weighing is accurate, sometimes the weighing is inaccurate.
Simple handling method: check whether there is short circuit in the wiring. In the junction box, use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the shield and other wires and the platform of the weighbridge, and check whether there is leakage and short circuit; At the same time, measure the resistance between each conductor and the shield of ground wire and signal cable to check for leakage and short circuit. If yes, replace the cable.
The specific detection steps are shown in the following table:
1. Measured resistance value: ± EX between (780) ± 5 Ω or so, ± Si between (700) ± 2 Ω or so. The sensor resistance value shall be subject to the nominal resistance value of the sensor actually used.
2. The measured voltage value is generally 0~25mV between ± Si. After power on, the empty scale is generally 0-5mV.
3. Measure the insulation performance of the sensor: place the digital multimeter on the 20M Ω gear, one end of the meter rod is laid on the shell or shield wire, and the other end is on any {± EXC, ± SI. If the multimeter displays 1, it means that the insulation resistance is infinite, and the sensor is good, and vice versa.
4. Observe whether the sealing cover of the sensor falls off.
5. Check the wire of the sensor for breakage, grounding, etc.
6. Check whether each corner of the scale has four corner error, and if so, whether it can be adjusted. If there is still four corner error after adjustment, replace the sensor.
7. Disconnect the sensors of the electronic truck scale one by one and observe the change of the indicated value. For example, if the original display of drift is stable after a sensor is disconnected, the disconnected sensor is damaged. Visual observation can also be used to check whether there are abnormal conditions of components, such as faulty soldering, desoldering, dropped wire, broken wire, short circuit, wrong connection, etc. If yes, correct the fault accordingly.
The steps for replacing the load cell of the electronic truck scale are as follows:
1. Open the junction box and free the damaged sensor cable from the junction box. Pull out the cable at the sensor end. Note: When pulling the wire, attach a lead wire to pass through the scale body, so that when replacing a new sensor, the cable can pass through the scale body and enter the junction box. 2. Open the cover plate above the sensor (damaged), jack up the scale platform with a jack, and remove the sensor ground wire.
3. Each core of the cable shall be fixed on the corresponding terminal of the junction box according to the wiring diagram.
4. Refer to the method in the second item above, pass the sensor cable through the scale body and enter the junction box.
5. After the sensor is installed, its redundant cables shall be bundled and placed, and shall not be placed directly on the foundation ground.
6. After replacing the sensor, the truck scale must be reset and calibrated.
7. Loosen the jack, level the platform, and cover the cover plate.
8. During installation and removal, no scratches or bumps shall occur to the sensor, and the cable shall be protected.
9. To ensure the consistency and interchangeability of the sensor, the sensor cable shall not be arbitrarily cut off.
